A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in Pink Slips 4 Cancer 2024!
This October, we conducted 152 Pink Slips, raising an incredible $7,448, with an additional $2,688 donated by our amazing community.
In total, we raised $10,136, which has been used to purchase a much-needed multipurpose chair for the Cancer Ward at The SAN Hospital. This chair will provide patients with vital comfort during and between treatments.

Our Story
Let's start with - cancer sucks!
On Father’s Day 2020, our world was turned upside down. In the middle of a global pandemic, we were hit with devastating news: cancer had struck our family. We couldn’t believe it. This kind of thing didn’t happen to us—or so we thought.
Igor’s father, Niko, was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer, and it had already spread to his liver. It was aggressive, and we were left reeling.
This moment was a turning point for our family. Like most, we knew about cancer, but until it affected us personally, it wasn’t our reality. The news hit hard, and Igor dove into researching cancer prevention, uncovering the vital role that diet plays.
Thankfully, Niko (the silver fox on the left!) has responded well to chemotherapy and undergone one of many surgeries, with a hopeful outlook so far.
But we know that not everyone is so fortunate. That’s why we felt compelled to act. Each year, for at least one month, we dedicate ourselves to supporting cancer patients and their families, helping others navigate their own cancer journeys, and contributing to the fight against cancer in Australia.
