Pink Slips 4 Cancer began with a moment that hit close to home. When Igor’s dad was diagnosed with cancer, he was too stubborn to accept it — so he beat it. Being a survivor of stage 4 cancer is no small feat, and we know that others are not always as fortunate. Not long after the diagnosis, on a drive to work one morning, something clicked in Igor’s head.
Pink Slips. Pink Ribbon.
The rest is history.

Every October, Barr Automotive donates 100% of every Pink Slip (Rego Check) fee to the SAN Foundation, supporting their Integrated Cancer Centre right here in Wahroonga..
We chose the SAN because they’re local, and because they have a centre dedicated to helping cancer patients and their families — it’s part of our story. Lydia was born there, and our family has always been connected to it. Supporting a hospital that supports our community just made sense.
Throughout October, our team and workshop go pink — maybe not the uniforms, but definitely through social media and community shout-outs. The SAN Foundation helps share the message inside the hospital too, and the response from the community has been incredible. Together, we’ve already raised more than $20,000, and we’re proud to keep that number growing every year. It’s proof that even a simple rego check can help drive something bigger.
